Poster session- ‘Transforming local communities into global networks’

March 6, 2020 (Friday )- 3:30-5 PM

Poster sessions are designed to present your original ideas and innovation in research, as well as new techniques or technologies being used to facilitate the theme – ‘Transforming local communities into global networks’ in internationalisation of higher education, in poster format.

  • Who can apply: Students , PhD Researchers, Faculty & Staff at Higher Education Institutions.

  • Must be 26" wide and 44" tall.
  • Must be able to be scanned into a digital document.
  • Must be related to the theme: “Transforming local communities into global networks”
  • Must not include terms that would be described as offensive, harassing, or targeting of any specific group.
  • Must promote an understanding of diversity and inclusion.
  • Enable participants to gain an awareness and appreciation for diversity & inclusion in “Transforming local communities into global networks”.
  • In approximately 200 words, describe your poster in Times New Roman 12 font, 1.0 line spacing and one inch margins.
  • Must include name , email address and phone number of the participants.
  • Please try and  include the following in your description; How do you see your poster promoting diversity and inclusion with respect to the theme ‘“Transforming local communities into global networks”?

Presentation in Poster Session , March 6, 2020 – 3:30-5 PM

  • The shortlisted candidates will be contacted between March 1-3, 2020 to be available for presentation of their poster in the Poster Session.
  • Please note that it is mandatory for participants to be available during the session, where their posters are displayed, for presentation.
  • Submissions can be done by an individual or in a group of two.
  • A printable PDF of the posters should be sent to us at secretariat.ihe@scie.ac.in by February 28, 2020. This is applicable for digital posters only. The posters will be printed by Symbiosis.
  • In case of handmade posters, participants are requested to email a clear picture of the poster for shortlisting along with the description by February 28, 2020.
  • The handmade posters should be made on a thick cartridge sheet with the desired dimensions as per guidelines. The participants must carry their posters,if shortlisted , at the poster session.
  • Awards will be declared & presented at Karyekram- Cultural Evening on March 6, 2020 Friday (7-9:30 PM).
  • Quality & Relevance of the content in context to theme- 30 Marks
  • Originality- 20 Marks
  • Design Aesthetics- Visual Message & Appeal- 30 Marks
  • Oral Presentation- 20 Marks
  • Total – 100 Marks
  • Grand Prize: INR 10,000 & Certificate
  • First Runner Up: INR 8000 & Certificate
  • Second Runner Up: INR 5000 & Certificate
